Fusion is an official distributor of NIStune, and chances are if you own a Nissan vehicle manufactured up to about the year 2000, you may now have come across people talking about it.

So what is it?

Put simply NIStune is a hardware and software interface to allow tuning/remapping/mapping/map (or whatever you want to call it!) Nissan ECCS ECU's, these are used in almost every fuel injected (ECCS) Nissan from the Figaro to the Skyline made from the early 80's to the end of the 90's.

It is actively developed in Australia and now covers almost all ECCS Nissans. Fusion has been involved and tuning with NIStune for several years now (since mid 2007 to be precise), and before this developed maps using more traditional tuning tools.

So why is it so good?

NIStune has enabled real-time mapping capabilities to a previously fiddly to reprogram product. Sure it was possible to remap Nissan ECU's a long time before NIStune hit the market, and there are other similar products out there, but none so capable or as efficient as the NIStune solution.

The stock ECU with real-time capabilities means that NIStune has created a standalone  comparable ECU from an OEM product. In fact for some Nissan Models it has removed the need entirely for standalone ECU upgrades.

Secondly is the price, quite simply the savings for the customer are huge. We can offer the ECU upgrade including full custom remap including rolling road for less than the cost of even the most basic piggyback ECU, let alone a fully featured standalone one. Its not an understatement to say that this totally transformed the Nissan ECCS ecu tuning world.

How much does it cost, and is my car covered?

Quite often Nissan produced a similar ECU from another car that we can fit an map. A perfect example of this is the N15 Almera 1.4/1.6. These ECU's cannot be modified however we can fit an ECU from a Micra with absolutely perfect results. If in doubt contact us we are always happy to help!
